My new and perhaps last Audio Note E loudspeaker

My review is up for the Audio Note AN E/SPx AlNiCo here Audio Note UK AN-E/SPx AlNiCo Loudspeakers Review

This is by far the most money on audio I have ever spent and largely because living in Hong Kong the tax rate is low, there is no sales tax, I don't need a car and haven't had one in the last 8 years - and they pay teachers a lot better than in Canada.

My version is poplar burl finnish similar to this (picture is audiofederation dealership)

Very nice review Richard and I’m looking forward to your follow up with your entire system.

At the price of these loudspeakers, I understand now why you stated you had no car. ;) Hey, for something you absolutely love, not an unreasonable price. Congrats on the step-up!

I’ve always loved 2-way loudspeakers. Even a well integrated sub seems to take away a little something while adding that missing octave on the low end.

I concur, can’t wait to get my setup going. DSP might be the ticket to minimize the compromise.
Audio note speak’s are on my must try list. There’s a nice set to my northern border, wondering if it’s worth the shipping/total cost. Your thoughts on the AN E/LX @Richard Austen ? (hope I’m not thread hi-jacking).

Edit; found your review, I have some reading to do along with the link regarding the speakers I mentioned. Yours are truly special on paper alone, can only imagine in person.
