My Sony TA-F808ES

I make em look pro, i've seen some nasty cap jobs in my travels. Why go to all that work and end up with something that looks like crap! Nichicon fine gold and kw throughout

All pics with green muse are factory caps..
 
For those who don't know, Sony ran some higher then usual quality caps in various places throughout this amp. A very nice piece.

You sir, are a true artist!
 
So what's the word? Is it back? I'm thinking of putting mine back up in a 3rd setup in my office. I love that unassuming black box.

Its a stunning piece, Bill. 55 lbs of MOSFET sweetness. $1800 bucks new in '91 and now totally forgotten. One of the absolute best deals in audio today.
 
I need to get around to making the wood panels for mine. After turning on my preamp, phono preamp, and amp yesterday I had this bright idea of maybe going back to an integrated. I'm tired of complicated audio.
 
I think we briefly chatted about that. I'd be in for some wooden sides.
