Been a while since I have.

Actually, I just realized I don't have a single glass tube in the system presently. And it's still possible to listen, and enjoy music!

Glass tube??

BTW veering away from CDs a good idea although spinning them can be kinda fun. But that’s why I have a turning table thingy.

You know. The kind that are filled to the brim with vacuum.

This one doesn't sound bad actually. It is a totl Exposure cd player though, currently playing through the North Star DAC.

Oh...so not using that innovation amp thingy now? Was surprised because I thought the Sony was driving that amp which has more than 4 Sylvanian mothers

Took about 45 minutes, but the Sony is finally settling in. If I could use a word to describe it, it would be "taut". So incredibly ballsy and controlled. It really feels like the Meadowlarks are fully being driven. And this is all at low Volume. So a Sony first watt is much stronger then an Audio Innovations first watt.

I certainly can't say the Sony is worse. Just different. Very, very clear. But not all audiophile sparkly. Totally getting out of the way of the music.

And as you know Sony made some crazy shit so I don’t blame meself for thinking it was a pre

This was one of those crazy shit pieces. Only Sony could build something like this so astonishingly well and sell it so cheaply. If one of the usual high end suspects would build it, it would be well, likely very well, over $10k today .

24 hours into running the 808, and it's coming along very nicely. I think it really likes the Meadowlarks. In all previius setups, it's always had a slightly slow, ponderous quality to it. Not this time.

It's pretty well an album by album comparison between this and the AI. On quiet, intimate recordings, the AI edges ahead. On anything with punch of dynamics, the Sony is just more fun. I really could live with either right now. This really is a surprising outcome!

Hello everyone. I am about to own a TA-F808ES. In the manual it is written that for getting output from pre out jacks speakers selector have to be set to B/pre out. I need simultaneous outputs both from main speaker terminals and pre out jacks for another active speakers or power amp. Does TA-F808ES give both simultaneously?
Thank you.

I Don’t know about the last question. But I do know that If I should find one available for a reasonable price, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it. Would make an awesome summer amp!
