Oh man, is anyone watching this game? The Sun’s are putting on a clinic! Took a break from sports, but I’m happy to be back.
Since the sun’s beat the Lakers in the playoffs, I knew they would be taking the championship. Not my first horse but it sure is fun watching again.

I watched it, impressive performance by Phoenix, sure looks more and more like their move to acquire Chris Paul is going to pay off with a championship.

Interesting that neither team has any player on their roster with previous Finals experience, a first.

So odd seeing teams in the finals that haven’t been in 20+ years. I’m all in for the Suns. Nothing against the Bucks. Great team and coach but…

Was never really a fan of CP3 but he’s balling out at 36 and his window is closing. The mercy side of me wants to see him get that ring 🤣

We were just talking about the greats and how 36 is old in basketball years, but CP3 is definitely holding his own with the youngsters. Kind of reminds of Nash, that veteran leadership balances out that raw young talent they have.

It was the perfect addition for PHO, exactly what they needed, even though very expensive and thus risky given the recent injury history, however I think some portion of his $40 million/year salary is being paid by HOU and OKC by previous trade agreement.

But if he holds up now it will all be worth it when they raise the banner.

I don’t follow basketball but I’m happy to hear this. Not meaning to be a name dropper (seriously I’m totally ignorant of basketball) but about 10 years ago i shot a commercial with Chris Paul in it, when he played for New Orleans. He was the nicest guy. No ego. No drama. A group of local kids were in the spot and during breaks he’d play basketball with them just because they were enjoying it. His manager kept trying to limit his interaction and he’d just ignore him and buddy around with the kids, and never made one complaint despite it being kind of a boring technical shoot.
So I’ll be rooting for him.

I'm just glad the Knicks and Lakers are not in it.
You've had no worries about the Knicks ever since they lost to San Antonio in the 1999 Finals, laughingstocks for the most part ever since. One of the most poorly managed franchises in all of professional sports, though they did finally manage to partially right the ship this season with a new head coach.

I'm a 45-year-fan of the Portland Trailblazers, so I'm no stranger to poorly managed...

Can’t be a Suns fan and a Lakers fan…pretty sure that’s in the rule book…
Thats always been my understanding of it from here on the east coast, and not unlike someone living in CT or VT, both of which share a border with NY and MA.
Pick one: Knicks or Celtics (can't be both).

So I’m a lakers fan first and foremost, but am also a good sport, and do believe in supporting the home team. With that said, I’ve been at a few laker/suns games heckling Nash (that tells you my last game).
Plus, if the suns win (which they will), I can say my team lost to the champions….

Milwaukee boy here is pulling for the Bucks. I've probably been to more Bucks games than any other team in any sport, But those were 40+ years ago and I was watching the likes of Marquis Johnson, Sidney Moncrief, Bob Lanier and Junior Bridgman....
And Nellie's fish ties....

Interesting tie, what’s the story behind it?

Wait, Milwaukee is in it? (I told you, I don't follow basketball). I love Milwaukee! (the city). Now I'm torn. I'd so much rather live in Milwaukee than Chicago.
