Nelson Pass Aleph J

+1 for the aleph j. i have a diy-built (not by me) "clone" of the aleph j. its incredible. esp for the cost. if your speakers can work on the power this amp puts out - it could be your forever amp. its a solid state amp that tube amp lovers can love. and being the class a amp it is - when its on, it runs hot.

Ok. Have I said this amp is great? I've been using the amp for a few weeks now. I will say that this is the best solid state amp I've ever owned. It is exactly what I was hoping for. Would I recommend it? You bet. It delivers the goods.

I tried a FX-01 tube pre with it last week. The gain was way too much for the Aleph. It did slightly change the character.(not for the better) The FX is now out of the chain. Anybody need one? :)

So the setup at this time is Tidal, Topping D30 DAC, Schiit SYS passive pre, Aleph J, CGR/10p speakers. The combo is very good. I'm more than content. I don't see any reason to upgrade a thing. Except maybe a Dave Slagle pre. :)

Awesome! And if that Schiit Sys is enough, you definitely need the Slagle.
