New old guy

Hi, I just found this site, and it looked like a good one to join so here I am. I have been into Audio since about 1974 when I built a pair of speakers out of particle board. After that I went in the AF, and with cash in my pocket and no expenses... I started to look at and bought more expensive products. I have owned salted Model 9s, Cerwin Vegas including the S2, several pairs of Klipsch LaScalas, Boston Acoustics, Celestions, Martin Logans, Paradigms, and then I went back to DIY. Input together a dedicated HT with 3 JBL 2360A horns, and QPie bass bins with a pair of Danley DTS10s.
We ended up selling the house last year, and I have started on a new setup, but this time it will not be a dedicated room...it will be our living room/dining room/hallway/kitchen/2nd floor loft. This room is going to be a nightmare to setup, and I would be very surprised if I could get it anywhere near as good as our soundproofed, and treated 2 car garage was in our last home. This room is 19' 6" wide, 45' 5" long (at the longest dimension) with a 32' high Boveda ceiling. The House is a brick construction covered in concrete with the walls being almost 1' thick. The wall behind where the screen, and front speakers will be has 2 10' glass doors about 8' wide each. I have some 13'x12' stage curtains which will be going in front of the glass. The floors are Cantera stone...which I will be getting a few old rugs to put in front of each speaker (or at least the front 3).In my signature you can see what my projects are for the coming year. I started gathering parts a few months ago slowly as I am pretty much broke, and look for the deals I can afford.

That is about it for me, thanks for having me.
