New to serious Hi-Fi and loving the sound

I'm pretty new to serious listening. It is a reboot of my youth as I enter retirement. I have to say I am enjoying it quite a bit. While I stream, I like to own media because I struggle to see how streaming will remain affordable as these companies seek to make money. For now I'm a Tidal subscriber.

My systems:

Primary system:
Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB, AT-VM95SH, Cerwin Vega E312, Denon professional DN-300Z, Harman Kardon HK395i, laptop running real-time Ubuntu Linux and streaming software, SMSL SU-1 and APC Line-R 1200. The HK steps in on days where it is just too hot to run the Rogue amp.

Bedroom: Bang & Olufsen Beomaster 1900, Advent 400, Raspberry Pi 3 running Volumio OS, & IQaudio DAC Pro.

Garage: Teac AG-V3020, quad KLM speakers, desktop computer running Ubuntu Linux and streaming software. Great workout system!

TV room: Pioneer VSX-321 with Pioneer surround speakers. Barely HiFi.

RV: Facmogu 298A (with the AC power supply removed), Pyramid Phase III 2022 3-way speakers, Raspberry Pi 4 running Volumio OS, IQaudio DAC Pro. May be a low end amp and tiny speakers, but it is the best sounding system in the campground!

My collection of 564 titles is about equal parts vinyl and CDs. I listen to progressive rock, pop rock from the 70’s and 80’s and contemporary Christian rock from 2000 to today. My vinyl collection was all purchased used in the last 2 years. I now have most of what I want to own, but I can’t help but continue to browse.

My other and, to be honest, more expensive hobby is astronomy. I do both visual and photographic astronomy. You can see my photographic work at My Gallery. My visual highlight was catching a glimpse of the quasar PG 1634+706 in Draco at a distance of about 9 billion light years away and a red shift of 1.34!

Welcome to the haven!
As vast as the universe is, (read worlds biggest rabbit hole) I can see how that can get pricier than our audio hobby.
Thanks for sharing those images, it is awe inspiring and humbling all at once! :)

Welcome to HFH! Nice gear, love the Cronus Magnum. I’ve come close to buying one of those. Bought the Sphinx instead.

Amazing pics at your Gallery.
