Nobody drives sedans anymore

This has been discussed before but this literally proves the point. Neighbor across the street. Fun fact, the neighbor (60ish, single female) recently traded in her Lincoln sedan for a Lincoln Corsair small SUV*.

*had to look up the Lincoln SUV model. I didn’t know they made anything other than the Navigator.

I don't see the Corsair, I'm only seeing Buick, Chevy, and Jeep vehicles. Too early not enough coffee for me just yet?

First one in the driveway. I got a better shot for you just now when I took the pup out.

Got it! In the other shot all I was seeing were Buicks and Chevys. Speaking of which, a female colleague of mine has one of those Buicks and I think it's rather nice. That said, is the Buick brand in good shape long-ish term, or is it the next likely casualty at GM?

Likely the next casualty. I think it only survived at the time Oldsmobile and Pontiac were cut because it was doing well in China. Doubt that’s the case now.

And I just checked their lineup. A total of 4 crossover/SUVs. Seems kind of redundant with Chevy and GMC.The only thing they have that’s unique is the Envista.

I do. 2018 Jetta Sport. But the overwhelming majority of what’s on the road is SUV shaped.

Yup ,us too. We just unloaded her Jeep Cherokee for a kinda-not-quite-an-SUV Subaru Outback.
My wife mentioned a Forester. Then her brother said it would be hard to get serviced. I think he thinks it’s still the 1980s.

Both the Wife and I drive sedans (OK, technically, mine is a hatchback). Never owned, or will own an SUV/Crossover. #1 priority when purchasing is reliability, we buy Toyotas. #2 is gas mileage. Both of our vehicles get over 46 MPG. I have driven vehicles in my younger years that drank fuel. Never again!

Most of my customers (mechanic) drive SUVs or Crossovers. They constantly bitch about fuel mileage. Well DUH! Buy something that gets better mileage! But no, thay have to have their driveway princess. Goes without saying, they never seem to be able to afford the proper repairs to said vehicles, as a large chunk of their income goes to feeding the thing! People are their own worst enemies!
