This info from Dale:

"November meeting on Saturday, November 15, 2025, 1 PM to 6PM or??... meaning stay as late as you wish as I start music videos.

"This year I have updated & upgraded my systems as noted below.

"System One - MULTI FORMAT: This is my listening system located in the formal living room. I think of it as my musical but mellow system. Digital Media is supported with a Pioneer Elite CD player. The turntable has been upgraded to a Denon DP-3000NE with a Lyra Kleos MC cartridge. The phono stage is a Sutherland 20/20 MK2. The Pre-amp will be the Jones-Morse Audio DIY “Moxie Blue” or “Moxie Copper” and the J-MA mono block “Blue” amplifier (Electro-Harmonic KT88) will be powering the Klipsch Heritage Cornwall speakers. Room treatments have the reverb time in the 300ms range.

"SYSTEM TWO - MULTI FORMAT: This is my Analog & Digital media system located in the theatre in the basement. As noted at the last meet, “I have remodeled the theatre and created a MEDIA room.” Since then I have removed some wall treatments and relocated other pieces. Reverb is in the 250ms range above 200Hz. Electronic Room correction using Audyssey and Dirac have been implemented using the Denon AVR-A10H.

"The system has been upgraded to a 9.3 system. The AV receiver is now a Denon AVR-A10H, 13 channels @150W, with an additional Yamaha MX -800 power amp to drive the built in DIY subwoofer. The speakers powered by the AVR-A10H include; Klipsch in-wall IW-250 speakers Front L/R and Center; Klipsch in-wall IW-150 speakers for the L/R Front high and L/R side and rear surround speakers. The Belle Klipsch speakers (with the Crites crossover and driver updates) are the primary L/R pair. The Belle Klipsch are powered with the DIY Jones-Morse Audio mono block, “Copper” amplifiers (KT88 Gold Lion.) And finally, the rear subwoofer is a Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-1200SW.

"Analog playback is supported with the upgraded Denon DP-3000NE turntable with a Hana Umami Blue MC cartridge. The phono stage is a Musical Fidelity M3x ViNYL.

"Digital media is supported with the Oppo 205. Surround sound processing is done with the Denon AVR-A10H.

"Video has been upgraded to the Optoma HCPRO-4400 4K Laser projector (3D capable). Streaming video is matrixed with the AVPRO Edge AC-MV-41 multi-viewer."

Looks like a bunch of upgrades to both systems. Looking forward to it.

No offence to Dale, as he is a great guy, but I have really lost interest in most of the SMAC meets.

Not gonna make this one, and it's one of the closer meets to me.

Hope you all have fun.

I am wondering what kind of meet (not meat) would interest you? Or are you just not interested in general? I'm not interested in the HT aspect folks seem to me moving towards. I, like Punker, usually go for the friendship and to share ideas (and pizza). I do still like to hear what different systems sound like as well. You'll be missed Olson.

I attended today, and enjoyed it. Always nice to chat with old friends, and get some listening in, too. The "theater room" is impressive in its own right, but the real treat was the ad hoc upstairs system - very revealing, yet musical - it did very little "wrong" and quite a bit "right" to my ears.

DC likes a horn system? Is this a first? I like the Cornwalls too. I was up there for Dan's 90dB "Whole Lotta Love" from the couch.

As an aside, that photo stretches the room quite a bit; it was about 10'-12' from the couch to the Cornies. I recall it being closer that my seat is to my A7s.

Was my first time hearing the more modern Klipsch classic. I am an avowed Klipsch hater. Well unless they have been modified until there was nothing Klipsch left. These MKIV Cornwall's were actually quite nice and would like to spend more time with.

Was a great meet. Great to see everyone.

I echo (for the most part) Mike's sentiments. I've rarely heard a Klipsch speaker that didn't drive me from the room (and I've heard plenty of them) unless they happened to have been so heavily modified that their namesake/provenance was no longer relevant. But these were different, and very nice. And I'm certain some system synergy was in play, too.

Ya, that was on "0.5x" macro I think, trying to catch the scene without enough depth.

@djnagle Dale had a 20th SMAC Anniversary photo stream on a couple TVs there and you and your creations were included several times!
