November SMAC ~ The, "This is some pretty good Gas Station Chicken meet."

Another meet I had to miss. This work thing gets old quick. I think I've been to a meet here a few years ago. I haven't been to many.

I have never been there myself. I have a buddy who occasionally sends me brewery and record store t-shirts from his travels.

The weekend timing often doesn't work for me either, especially as much as I travel (either road trips or rallies). I don't have much to offer audiophile-wise these days so I'm a fish out of water.

Well, they've been Saturday meets for 18+ years, so that can be problematic. But don't get put off by the audio gear, I regularily say I have the worst ears in the group. The magic is in the company and conversation, I regularily say I have the worst ears in the group.

I would liked to have hosted a small meet but even then it's a stretch as we have limited room. I dislike limiting the size of a gathering--I don't like having to exclude anyone.

The main problem I have with listening is that I do most of it at lower volume, as listening to anything too loud aggravates the tinnitus. Even today, hiking and walking around in Colorado, the ambient noise has my ears a bit tender. 😐

I'll still try to attend one of these months though, when I'm not away from home. 👍
