Darling 1626 single ended amplifier using a Shannon Parks circuit. His version is called the Clementine. Hammond power transformer and choke. Output transformers are Edcor. Changed the circuit to use a 12SN7 as input. 3/4wpc is sounding really nice. No subs and The Ray Brown Trio is playing and this little amp can deliver some surprisingly nice bass. Big stage too so far. E68E5ED3-A4D6-4645-B920-5F221E9D3F89.jpeg

This song has some really deep bass notes and I’m blown away what this amp can do with these Altecs or vice versa maybe? :)

Fantastic build, Charles. I always wanted to do a Clementine, but missed out on the circuit boards, so had to do a point-to-point version. And yes, the 3/4W you get from the 1626 is a very sweet 3/4W.

That sure is pretty.

And you’re using the Gizmotron as a pre for that?

Did you use the Gizmotron as a pre for the NOS valves Stereo 45?
