I do not have fancy measuring equipment, listening in mono and sitting directly in front of the speaker. Not the ideal set up....
IMHO, high frequency wavelengths are so short, they are not as affected by the shape/expansion of the horn as much as the mids. To my ears, the bullet "lens" sounds the same as the EV diffraction lens. The @hifitown's Selstead takes the diffraction concept to the extreme and adds a bit of of a je-ne-sais-quoi flavor in addition to the cool look. My favorite is the WE 796A lens. Because of the long "focal length", the hf sounds are immediate and powerful. I suspect the listening sweet spot is rather tiny.
My intention was just to develop various fun EV T35 lenses for different listening situations and personal tastes.
I was never able to integrate a single front firing tweeter in OB's successfully. Dipole tweeters that radiate in both directions like the B&G Neo 3's worked well. I was finally able to balance a front firing Eminence ASD 1001 with a rear firing Realistic super tweeter.
I've spent the last 15 years with various OB designs but I've never seen a reverse H-frame before.
