These subs went out to one of our members, UPS had their way with them so we reversed the sale, brought them back. I set them right, except for a few bangs like the one you can see on the right unit. No grilles.

That's an SB23 driven by a minidsp pwrice 250x250 strapped to 500W, clad in black HPL. There is a provision via a pair of banana jacks at the rears that would allow one, with a bit of rewiring, to run 250W into the woofer and send the other 250W out to another speaker.. So you could combing these with, say, a pair of passive bookshelves as a self amplified sub/sat rig. With DSP of course.

Sapele Black Birds excellent condition. I stopped making them for business reasons, not sonics. On one of the mindsp 125x125 amps we did an R&R on the IEC entrance, which would be evident if you removed the amp. Doesn't matter, everything else is 100%.

Maybe these four want to go as a complete rig? Maybe not? We can talk about price by PM.

I keep hearing them say: "Paaaaat...use us as your shop speakers!" Jeeze! Save me from the excess.

AAAHHHH!!! It just keeps coming. Was thinking am done, but noooo.

Speaker Cable $50/pr.

The set on upper left is Music Metre Signature that came from my pile, a small visible cosmetic issue that you can see at the heat shrink on one end.

The remaining sets are Innersound house brand from the period when Roger Sanders was designing, he's a pretty meticulous and demanding guy; none of this is junk.

Note, please, one pair is asymmetrical 15/30'. One set has two matching pair, so good for biwire.
Note, too, the terminations - there are bananas here and there.

JPS Superconductor 30" interconnect - pricey wire - $100. One pair of unused DH Labs Silver Sonic biwire jumpers $20.

NIB Seas Excel Midrange pair $50. Build a three way and get the midrange right, awfully good, extra zoomy stuff:

NOS Vifa ring radiators $30/pr. We used these in Kestrel II.

Pat, I’ll take the asymmetrical 15/30' and the One set with the two matching pair, good for biwire.

I’m betting that those Black Birds sans subs would be great in a small room.

How many bottles of scotch would it take to pry these away from you?

That'd be a nice pile o' scotch, but am interested in liberating the funds tied up in them for new projects.

Very nice in a small room. Very nice in my 24x32.

Send a PM and I'll send you the details. You'll want to look at the minidsp docs and app and I'll point you towards a vid, to know what's ahead. DSP speakers aren't for everyone.

I was admiring this today.

I'll bet that cost more than my car. Not more than my stereo, more than my car. Priorities you know?

I love Islay whisky, especially when finished in sherry butts! The Lagavulin distillers edition is fan damn tastic. I bet this from Laphroig is excellent as well.

I've had some Laphroig 20, or maybe 22, it was damn good. The classis Laphroig taste, bold peat, bold smoke, and a nice bit of spice.

I say go for it, then tell me all about it so I don't have to spend the money to find out how good it is :D

YEAH!!! YAY,YAY,YAY!

Laphroaig is about the only brand I can count on my wife not to touch! Pffftt....no accounting for taste.

But, to be fair, perhaps a more modestly priced variant. Just slurped down the last of my 15 year. Anything from that delightful, wee isle. Ardbeg Blaaack comes to mind. Or, traveling around, anything that says Glenmorangie, Glenfarclas, Oban, Talisker, Balvenie, Mcallan......

But the wiff cannot be trusted with a bottle of Oban.

Those speakers have sentimental value, so trading for booze make so much more sense than money. I'll just waste the money.
My wife hates proper whisky, so mine are always safe..... well, not safe from me. I too love Oban, visited their distillery a few years ago, and was quite a happy little camper.

My favorite, by quite some margin is Kilchoman. Their Loch Gorm is heaven on earth. I've tried quite a few of their releases and they are all fantastic.

Obaaaaaan! Oh, yes.

Well that does it; must try Kilchoman.

I'm building the first two pair of Nightingales in 20 years. Sold 'em from a drawing. They'll deserve a proper christening. :)

Probably can get pretty close (there's usually 10% wiggle room in any part spec'd in a production audio filter) - except the 8mH, that's an enormous value to hit with an air core. Solen's biggest is 6mH. Maybe we can make it in series.

The Canary Caps values are 3.3 4.0 5.0 7.0 10.0 15.0

I'll set the woofer aside for you. Damn dandy, low distortion drivers.
Let’s make up the inductors, need four sets of what is in the diagram.

Also, the Scan Speak 8555-00 woof pair and a set of tweets would be nice to hot rod a speakers pair I have had since high school. Would actually like to make a simple crossover for them too, bypass the original altogether.

;) Wow, a filter schem that doesn't make me cringe.

The LCR inventory on this spread sheet is up to date. I think it's better that you choose the parts, knowing your own tolerance for substitutions and value deviations. Just me, it's nice to know how each band sounds to know whether you'd want to loosen or tighten, when deviating.

Just two pair of Scan Speak 18Ws remain. Plus the 21W, I can't believe no one has snagged. Plus a bunch of 12cm Scan Speaks and SBs.

Tweeters remaining: the Vifa ring radiators, Scan Speak 98000 and 97000, Heil AMTs, SBs, Morels.

Both pair of Bybee Blocks. Black Magic if you go for that sort of thing.

The big electrostat kit still wants a home. Great panels from Innersound. Sanders continues with those panels today. It's a giveaway. You just build a frame and a bass system; take the DSP easy way out. No 'stat guys among us? Horn guys, but no 'stat guys? There's a joke in there somewhere....

Totally off subject, but look at this thing:
