Lovely! I sometimes wish I'd been able to come up with the scratch for the D850 rather than the D750 I have, but it was just a "bridge too far".

I picked up this FT several years ago on the cheap at a thrift store. It came with an original f1.2 lens but was stolen along with an Olympus Pen digital. It was a beautiful and sharp lens.

My interest in 6x6 cameras started with borrowing a Yashica-Mat 124G to take photos of my first wife's graduation. A few days later I bought my Rolleiflex 3.5 Xenotar, now the camera I've owned the longest and probably the last I would let go. The 6x6 TLR is a wonderful thing.

Rolleiflex 3.5 (C?) Xenotar. We've had nearly three and a half decades of photo-taking together and I'd be happy to have the same again. Great camera, marvelous lens.

I starved myself to get a K1000 since I was clueless about Soviet/Eastern bloc photo equipment back in the early 80s. 🙁

Soviet cameras were pretty common in Canada in the 70s and early 80s and dirt cheap - reliability optional. At the time I was shooting with an ancient Pentax H3v/55 f1.8 Takumar.

Probably more kids in my area had K1000's than all others combined. I used my dad's Spotmatic, and a couple rich kids used their folk's Nikon rigs. I still have never even seen a Zenit in reality, only pics. Not terribly common 'round these parts.

Something a bit different - my grandfather's Kodak No.3 made between 1900 and 1903. I got this from my grandmother about three decades ago and it is still something I adore. He was still using the camera right on into the 40s. There will be another post that includes it soon...
