Pro-Ject audio Buys Musical Fidelity!

Music Hall and Musical Fidelity aren't merely complimentary lines to Pro-Ject, but in many cases direct competitors.

Interesting to see how this shakes out. I wonder if it was done to shut MH or MF down and assume their distribution channels.

Well I wonder what this means to the desirability and sellability of my Musical Fidelity Nuvista M3 integrated? They are always going to be scarce, as production was limited to 5000 units. But I wonder what people are going to think of them now?

I don't think that the lamentable fates of, e.g., the Advent and Altec brands hurt the resale value or the desirability of the heritage products from those brands.

Isn't almost all of the MH stuff made by Project anyway?

I believe it is with a little tweak here and there. I think the likelihood of them slowly closing MH is higher than MF. Musical Fidelity is clearly a step up, both in build and technology IMO. I think they will keep MF separate for a while.
