Roberts 1725 8LIII RTR Worth Messing With?

I found a Roberts 1725 8LIII at the curb yesterday. Is this worth messing with? I peeked inside and it's a tube amplifier and has small full range speakers similar to the old Fostex FE103 but a little smaller. I'd like to re-purpose the amp to a low wattage stand alone amp. I Googled and most folks convert these to guitar amps. I have no interest in doing that. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

If I go that route, it's yours. Sadly, I can't do electronics other than speaker crossovers. I'm pretty decent on speakers and turntables but tube amps are a mystery to me so I have someone local that keeps mine going. He may not want to mess with this however. Thanks.

Do you know where to find the schematic? Might not be so difficult. It's probably fairly close to ready to go!!

That's how my Japanese ancestor Mr. Roberts-San liked to do things. 😁

Same as Akai 1800L, Schemo is on Hifi Engine but I can't get on anymore.

Uses 6AR5 which is a 3.5W output tube. Might be worth doing.

Anybody who knows tube amps can probably figure it out in 3 minutes and explain it to you in 5.

Easy peasy! Insert signal after C7A/C7B. You can use the preamp output RCAs as input jacks. Just wire directly from the jack to the point where C7 goes into the tube grid. No cap necessary between the jack and the volume control.

Connect speakers to external speaker jacks. Party on!

Joe, I think you are referencing the schematic on page 1, which is a different model number. Page 4 shows the amp section below. Input directly to the 500k volume control and you are good to go.

In that case, use Jack J5B for input, disconnect the lead from the intersection of R304 and R305 and connect to input of 500k pot.
