DIY Sakuma-Schade 6V6 Amp

Do It Yourself
That's looking great! I do love those carbide cutters -- I use them exclusively, now (I have the Greenlee brand) and will probably never use my Morse hole saws again except to cut holes in drywall behind the sink or something...

Looks great! Powdercoating would be cool. What color are you considering?
No idea at this point. I liked the red painted redwood base with the polished plate and black transformer covers. Polishing is a lot of work! LOL

Polishing is a lot of work! Don’t ask how I know… in an ideal world you would use a power tool to polish the plate before any cutting took place, so you avoid snags in any holes (or hand polishing small areas between holes). But then you’d have to deal with the drilling after…when done right it will look beautiful with a mirror-like finish (like chrome).

I'm at 600 grit. I'll get to 2000 grit wet and dry, then compound and buff with automotive buffers/polishers. It's looking good.

I was going to suggest jeweling...but, well I wouldn't want you to be put through that.😁

Hopefully you're adding some terminal strips on those tube socket bolts. I think a 5 lug on each socket screw is more than enough lugs for mounting parts.

Oh yeah, I just want to visualize the wiring. Not everything will be great but, I'll try to get the best I can do.
