No idea at this point. I liked the red painted redwood base with the polished plate and black transformer covers. Polishing is a lot of work! LOLLooks great! Powdercoating would be cool. What color are you considering?
Polishing is a lot of work! Don’t ask how I know… in an ideal world you would use a power tool to polish the plate before any cutting took place, so you avoid snags in any holes (or hand polishing small areas between holes). But then you’d have to deal with the drilling after…when done right it will look beautiful with a mirror-like finish (like chrome). No idea at this point. I'm at 600 grit. I'll get to 2000 grit wet and dry, then compound and buff with automotive buffers/polishers. It's looking good.Polishing is a lot of work! I was going to suggest jeweling...but, well I wouldn't want you to be put through that.😁I'm at 600 grit. I'll get to 2000 grit wet and dry, then compound and buff with automotive buffers/polishers. It's looking good.
Along the same lines I am thinking his forearms are as big as Popeyes now!Wow! That's gorgeous. Makes my wrists hurt just thinking about it.
Looks great!
Coming along nicely. Did you polish the can caps too? (Looks like it)Today's update. Installed most of the parts. Tube sockets are loose until I figure the final configuration to work best with the resistors/caps.

Yes, I did. They arrived with a few bruises. Still look ok. I put the ugly sides to the back. LOLComing along nicely. Did you polish the can caps too? (Looks like it)
Oh yeah, I just want to visualize the wiring. Not everything will be great but, I'll try to get the best I can do.Hopefully you're adding some terminal strips on those tube socket bolts. I think a 5 lug on each socket screw is more than enough lugs for mounting parts.
