Spotted a he-man truck with a useful bed today.

I saw a video of a Chevy full size Hummer trying to offload. The first couple rocks it came across tore the whole front suspension and steering linkage out of the thing. It wasn't that the rocks hit anything underneath, it was just the tires trying to go over the 2' tall max rocks. The guy wasn't even going fast.

I don't get the pickup thing at all. A friend's son just bought his second pickup and was bitching that he had to spent $70K. When I asked why he bought another truck, he said they are handy if you ever need to haul something. As far as I know, the only time his previous truck hauled anything was when I gave him a load of firewood. I mentioned that he could rent a truck IF he ever had to move anything, and he looked at me like I was crazy. I believe that half of the folks in my neighborhood have pickups. We are a nation of lemings.

I've hauled A LOT more in the back of my Prius, than most people haul in their Penis Extension Packages, errr I mean "trucks", around here!

My wife wouldn't be happy if I started hauling gravel and lumber in her hatchback. There are plenty of fancy lifted trucks around here though.
You see them hauling nothing but groceries. I never see them at Home Depot, or Lowes. Only in the grocery store parking lots.

My wife had a 96 Toyota Carolla hatch when I met her and for many years after. We used to call it the Toyota Tractor because she always had the rear seats down, her Airdale, feed, bowls and tack in the back. Bales of hay on the hood. That is why she was happy to get a Ranger.
