I am selling this beautiful Sony TA-F555ESJ in champagne finish. This is a truly stunning addition to any system that sounds even better than it looks!
This is the Japanese domestic market version of the TA-F808ES that was sold in the rest of the world. These units were manufactured during the end of a particularly prosperous time in Japan, and as such, no expense was spared. This is, without a doubt, one of the greatest integrated amplifiers of all time.
This particular unit was purchased last year from a Japanese seller who cleans the switches, relays, and potentiometers to ensure flawless functioning for years to come.
The only reason that I am looking to sell this unit is that I recently purchased a Purifi amplifier, which is more adequate for my listening habits.
As this is a 100V unit, I will include a Nissyo NDF-1500U step-down transformer, which is rated at a far higher wattage than this unit requires.
I am looking for $1100. Will consider a trade/partial trade for a high quality remote controlled preamplifier that has a tape loop or a set of fixed RCA outputs (think Bryston BP-25, Technics SU-C2000).
This is a very heavy unit, and as such, I am limiting this to local pickup or delivery in the San Diego County area. If you are in OC, Riverside, LA, or San Bernardino, we can probably work something out as well.
