Systemdeck iix cartridge ( maybe tonearm) suggestions

Looks like the Gold Stylus is the top of the heap for this cartridge design, so I'm going to go with that and then do some of the tweaks that @gegge suggested to correctly adjust the suspension. Thanks for all of the help!

Use the manual for a basic set up:

PS use a rubber mat on the glass platter and
oil the motor, a few drops where the spindle enters the housing,
top and bottom. Check the motor angle is correct, the belt should
be running in the centre of the pulley.
Thanks! Yes, the felt mat is annoying as it sticks to the records. I do some leather work, so I was wondering if I should make one of my own mat out of leather. Any problem with leather vs rubber?

What type of oil is used to oil the motor?

You can use a leather mat. I occasionally used a cowhide one on mine, as, like in your experience, the felt one would often lift off of the platter with the record. Different mats will present slightly different sounds.

Listening to this in headphones on my phone, seems to exude what I want in the sound from my record player. I've listened to it like 4 times and have been enthralled. I was searching around to see what the Grado Gold might sound like.

Also, any idea what those speakers are?

Lovely sounding system. Ummm, interesting looking room!

Wow, super easy to replace the stylus on the Grado, a design to appreciate! Also, the sound is MUCH better and even my GF asked if the stylus on our living room turntable needs to be changed with how good this new stylus sounded!

Thanks for the all the help! I'm excited to do some of the other tweaks suggested in this thread.
