Not sure if I really want to sell this, but it would make getting another cartridge a lot easier. I'd be open to a trade for a good used LOMC or two. This is a Haven listing only for now.
I purchased this direct from Tavish in 2020, and they aren't kidding about the wait list - this was almost 8 weeks before I received it. It's a nicely flexible unit, with the bonus of a 47K setting for MC, and several capacitance choices for MM including 0. It is an all tube amplifier for the MM setting, and a JFET is used for the additional gain required by MC.
No switching power supplies - this uses a step down to provide 18 VAC.
Tube complement is 5751 (12ax7 option), 12ax7, and 12au7.
I do like the unit, but its been replaced by a Zesto Audio phono pre. I've made two little mods to it - silicone feet (removable, originals still in place) and some damping sheets inside and underneath the case (removable).
The price is $599 CAD for Haven members in good standing. Includes factory packing (double boxed and bubble wrap) and the stock JJ tubes. Shipping paid by the buyer. This unit really responds to a good 5751 input tube. (The JJ ecc83s and ecc82 were pretty good in this). Because this is the Haven, I will also include an RCA triple mica black plate 5751, a Telefunken ecc83 ribbed plate, and a Telefunken ecc82 smooth plate. I purchased these tubes for the Tavish and they aren't NOS. The RCA is really nice.
I'm not too flexible on the price - new they are $769 USD / $1055 CAD. Don't forget a possible trade for LOMC.
Questions welcomed.
