The “H” word (Edit: Harbeth!)

The "H" word is spoken here too... what have you there ? P3's are a single box IIRC so that narrows it down. ;)

M30's ?

It’s funny because after the LS50s what I would love to try is a pair of modern Harbeth. And many used examples on the market. Too bad I don’t have the coin!

It's funny because it's what the LS50s did well and didn't do well that drove me to give the Harbeths a try.

These are the C7ES-3 30th Anniversary Edition (Eucalyptus finish even!) but sans stands. At the moment they are rather comically perched atop the stands I've been using for the various smaller bookshelf speakers, all of which fit basically perfectly; these, not so much. I browsed the various interwebs and the Skylan stands are highly recommended by Harbeth users, but I think they look just awful. The Sound Foundation stands are less awful-looking, but only a little, and they're apparently impossible to get. (From a design concept, my head likes them better.) Sound Anchor stands also look awful. Alas, I'll improvise something in the meantime.

Anyway, they're producing sounds at the moment, and that's good! :D

Note the yardstick: If I sit up real tall and on two extra pillows, I can get to almost the right height, haha.

Exactly my thoughts.

I like the skeletal stands for Harbeth speakers and other BBC lineage stuff.

Congrat’s! I’m now entertaining the idea of buying a set (thanks to bad influences around these parts). They are a bit proud for what looks like an unassuming and common design; clean and simple lines. This leads me to believe that the focus is primarily on accurate sound reproduction (nothing wrong with that). Can’t wait to read your thoughts on them and how they fair versus other sets you’ve had in the past.
