I’ve not had the Fitz yet, how’d you like the JD?post-trick-or-treat pours for the dads tonight
The old fitz is good but the ones 10 years or less arent anything special. Definitely not worth secondary prices, maybe not even msrp.. Watering down some Larceny barrel proof gets you pretty close. I’ve also tried the 11, 14, 19 year… now those are special 👍🏻I’ve not had the Fitz yet, how’d you like the JD?
Oh man this must be fantastic, I like the 1910… this must be even more 1910er 😁Celebrating a special night 🧢💙, with a very special bottle; Old Forester, 117 Series. It is amazing!! Too bad it’s 375ml., and only available in KY.

It was!!! I sincerely regret not buying more bottles, as the limit was two per person, per day, and I was already counting a few bottles from other distilleries to fly back home (and didn’t want to exceed the legal limit for a flight).Oh man this must be fantastic, I like the 1910… this must be even more 1910er 😁
Wait. Whiskey Wednesday? Is that a thing? I’ve been having an internal debate with myself on if I was going to have a one tonight.“Whiskey Wednesday”
I usually like a good double barrel Whiskey, and this one is pretty good. The tasting notes say “vanilla, baking spices, toasted oak” and I’m inclined to agree.

I can verify…Whiskey Wednesday is in fact, a thing.Wait. Whiskey Wednesday? Is that a thing? I’ve been having an internal debate with myself on if I was going to have a one tonight.

This one needs some water IMO. Its so hot out of the bottle. It goes without saying, but you are more than welcome for a pour!
I also cracked open this rare (to me) bird, quite good but it wasn’t fair to drink it after OF. I’ll be sampling it again tonight, to give it its own stage to shine.

OGD114 is an absolute banger, and often overlooked for the low price.Well since I didn’t partake on Whiskey Wednesday, I figured I’d double up tonight.
