Just wanted to put up a thread for any buying and selling members might do. I'm not particularly concerned about selling in the open forums, but I thought it might be easier if we had a thread to post to. Feel free to post whatever you like to buy, sell, trade, wanted, etc.

Please keep in mind that all transactions are 100% between the members and that Audio Haven assumes no responsibility should things go south in your transaction, whatever the reason.

Nice! Always great to have someplace to go to buy something totally unnecessary 😄😄

Something is wrong with both my computers. Whatever is after "unnecessary" is just a square. What is up?

Those are smilies after that. Not sure why they aren't showing.

Do you see any of these?

My Spendor S-100s are up for sale if anybody is interested. Due to their extreme weight they're kind of glued to either Chicago or Detroit. Possibly Akron, OH could be arranged. They're in good condition for their age. A previous owner has repaired what was apparently veneer damage to the top corner of one, looks good but the veneer is a slight mismatch if you look closely (seen in this photo, top left..applies to only this speaker). I replaced the aging tweeters with their rotten foam faces with identical new ones (still in production).

$800 to an AH member. Possibly partial or full trades welcome but would have to be something smaller (nice vintage tube amp over 30wpc?). Trying to downsize and these are the largest targets. They're nice speakers and command a bit more than this on the open market, big fun dynamic sound and efficient...I just like my Quads and Harbeths better. I only have one grill.

You can tri-wire them! More pictures to come when I get a chance. Very large Sound Anchor stands for them included in purchase, as well as these low ones pictured, which are from Sansui.

Erik saw these advertised on another board and suggested I post them here, too:

Nordost Blue Heaven (revision II) bi-wire 2m with original package

I bought these on AK Barter Town a few years ago. They are in excellent condition - no kinks or marks. Also banana connectors. These bested the Kimbers 8TC bi-wires on my Epos Epic 5 speakers by a small, but significant margin. Slightly more open with more air, and faster to my ears.

Newer LS version are $735 from Music Direct.

$295 - shipped/CONUS/PayPal

Nice deal on a great cartridge. If I hadn't just grabbed the Exact, I'd be all over this.

If anyone is looking for a phono stage, here's my Blue Circle BC27pi. I bought it from Goldstein several years ago, and haven't used anything else since. On a whim last week, I ordered a Vincent PHO-8, which came today (hooked up, but not played anything through it yet- in a few minutes).

The Blue Circle has a separate power box with a damn big torroidal x-former in it- here at my house, it stays powered up continuously, no reason to shut it down and wait for that x-former to warm back up. It's supposed to magically know MM from MC, I have no idea how, but that's what Gilbert Yeung, Mr. Blue Circle sez. If you go inside the unit, there are selector switches for low and high gain. Not sure what the ranges are, but I can look in the manual if anyone wants to know. Meaning, yes, I have the manual, and probably have the original box out in the apartment, as well. Photo pretty much tells the story- it's basically unmarked, unmolested, and does what Gilbert intended it to do.

No idea what its value is. It wasn't a cheap piece new, and was still pricey for my limited means when I bought it. Give me your thoughts, if you're interested, and I bet we can work something out, as long as you don't want it for a can of Star Kist and a short PBR.

In the hyena-dominated world of audio, I don't know of any "one size fits all" piece of equipment.

BTW, I know Gilbert (he's a local guy in my neck of the woods) of Blue Circle and he stands behind everything he sells. A great character, and a great guy to deal with. He really cares about every piece he sells. His stuff is the best type of boutique audio.

He's also crazy as a shit-house rat. And I mean that as a compliment.

That was not a run-of-the-mill BC 27pi. That one got special attention from Gilbert before it made its way to Dave's. I can't speak to what was done, just that he said he made a few 'adjustments', and that Dave would be happy. Someone will be very happy with this unit.

You aren't helping, Ernie. :)
