That's fantastic! We need to start a sub-thread on amazing thrift store coffee finds.
For sure. You found that grinder at a thrift, right? Between this and the Moccamaster, it seems that my thrift coffee luck is better than my thrift audio luck.

Splashed out on a new pour over kettle yesterday...

Yep, and I'm still using that $9 grinder. I haven't found any worthwhile audio in a thrift in years.... though I think maybe my bar for what I'll drag home is a bit different than when I was really into that world. I've seen stuff like a Thorens TD-160 at Brown Elephant in Chicago that I've just left for somebody else that needs another deck more than me.For sure. You found that grinder at a thrift, right? That's a great kettle! I'm trying to get back into pour overs, just bought new cone filters yesterday for the Hario. Do you like it? I had seen a similar shaped, but electric, kettle with a different finish last year, maybe the same maker.Splashed out on a new pour over kettle yesterday...

"coffee-like" grain beverages could be another thread. none of them taste like coffee to me. but some, like inka and dandy-blend, are good when want a hot beverage without caffiene. Was away from home and lived off this coffee for a week. It's an acquired taste.

I tried that on a recommendation and curiosity. "Coffee-like" is being generous but if you've acquired a taste, you've acquired a taste ( I have not...but also support people's love of whatever they're into ).Was away from home and lived off this coffee for a week. It's an acquired taste.

That's an interesting use for it. I've never made Thai coffee at home. Good stuff. For sure
I call it "Werewolf" coffee, or "Gunpowder"
Great for Thai coffee when mixed 50\50 with something mellower, though
That's quite a grinder! Shiny, too (which is worth bonus points). I wish I could drink coffee at night. I'd be up until dawn. I'll join in spirit. Is it actually silent?Stepping it up big time: Eureka Silenzio. Just finished having a French press, wow!

It's not silent but a very low pitched quiet grind. That's quite a grinder! Shiny, too (which is worth bonus points). I wish I could drink coffee at night. I'd be up until dawn. I'll join in spirit. Is it actually silent?
