The JE Labs/ Angela SE 2A3 amplifier, revisited

@Redboy , Would you mind sharing what that aluminum extrusion that crosses the mid-line of the chassis is and where you sourced it? It is that piece that the turret strip mounts to. TIA

Agreed - my attempts with a drill press always look like someone with one eye and coffee jitters took a stab at things.

Lay out with a sharp pencil and a straight edge/ruler with a cross where the holes go.
Use a spring-loaded center punch for your first mark.
Use a small, sharp center punch and a small hammer to make the mark larger. If the mark isn’t aligned perfectly with the lines, use the punch and hammer to push the mark to perfect alignment.
For the pilot hole, I like to use a new 1/8” bit (an old bit can ”walk” the hole out of alignment because one side will cut more than the other).
With the drill press off, bring the bit down to touch the mark. If the bit moves, adjust the work piece until it touches with no movement. Clamp the work piece to the table. Turn the press on a high speed and ease the bit through your top plate for a perfect pilot hole. Then step drill to the diameter you need.

Thanks. That mini channel is pretty close to what I wanted. I ordered a few pieces a while back and am happy with what showed up.

Would like to know where the angle, rather than channel, types can be purchased. Thoughts anyone?

Test fit...

I'm still quite a few hours away from being finished, but look! The tubes fit! :)

The inescapable conclusion being -- you used the right kind(s) of sockets.

:smoke

Let me know if you need any other affirmation.

(in all seriousness -- this/these is/are beautiful)

So, there was a guy busting my chops not long ago about not getting moving on an amp build... ;)

Where are you at with this one Nate? It looked like you were ready to wire up and solder last I saw.
