OFF The Late Great Jaymanaa's Collection Up For Auction

Rest In Peace.
What a collection! Loving all that gold faced tube equipment.

His influence spread beyond AK. I gave my dad, who is not at all into forums except for research, an HK tube amp and mentioned it was light on bass. He gets back to me later saying he'd found a mod online that really brought it to life, and I looked it up and I'm pretty sure it was something Jaymanaa came up with. And yes, it did really help out that otherwise nice sounding amp.

I'd love that Eico HF-85.

His passing still saddens me deeply - as I'm sure it does many others. He did so much good for so many of us.
Never had the pleasure of meeting him but by the sound of things I likely benefited in some way during my silver faced AK phase.

Jay (Andrew) was a great guy. Lots of good AK chats. I was deeply saddened when I heard he had passed.

i always enjoyed reading his posts; seemed like a great guy

those unfinished custom amps could be fun if you know what you are doing (not me)

I miss Jay. He and I conversed several times over the years on AK. Like him or not, I think everyone would agree that he was definitely genuine.

I know he had quite a collection, hopefully the funds help his family.

Dang. Jay was a good dude. I had the pleasure of attending a couple Twangfests at his place in Gardner. He and Suzie were just as gracious as could be.

Yeah. This. I’m glad I got to tag along with you on that last one. Cool guy and a boatload of knowledge. RIP.

- Woody

Jay and his Twangfests were the closest thing I had to an AK Fest (having never been able make the latter), went to several of them and enjoyed each one immensely.

RIP Jaymanaa :(

I've certainly read enough of his posts. He clearly knew what he was talking a out and seemed to take pleasure in sharing that knowledge.

As to the auction - that huge pile of radio gear was starting to freak me out...

Met him at AKfest and communicated with him a lot around that, we had some shared interests and found ourselves on the same paths in audio quit often. Fantastic guy and one of the nicest I've met in this hobby. I never made it to one of his twangfests but actually considering driving down to one before something got in the way.

I missed him a lot when I pulled away from AK and even more so now that he has moved on to a better place.

RIP Jay, and I sure hope these auctions go well for his family!

This is such a shock. He and I had many long discussions and I thought he just got busy. What a great guy. He will be missed.

Spread the word on the auction(s) if you all would. Yes, it will be sold over several auctions. Suzie worked her tail off getting all of his treasures prepared for sale. Awesome gal! Schulman Auctions tests alot of the equipment and tubes so just ask a question and I'm sure David will be glad to answer. Thanks for posting this @Ernie.
