The Onkyo grand integra AG10 along with the DX and my Bluesound Node 2 has been put into bedroom duty along with a pair of KEF LS50’s. It has Provided me with a real nice contrast to the main system. This is my third go around with the LS50. I first got a pair when @JohnVF started the fan club and made a fortune in kickbacks from KEF! (Kidding for those that are new here) I completely underpowered them and didn’t get them at all. My 2nd go around was by way of a trade. I had a better understanding of what they needed and had much better results. They went out on an extended loan and never came back. The friend I lent them to could not part with them and promptly made a deal to keep them. These were selected for this very purpose and pairing. I am happy that they are working out beautifully. I really need to spend more time with this system.

It is with great regret that I didn’t emphasize the importance of gobs of power with those things the first time around. I wish I had mine back. I’m happy you’ve found a happy place with them. They were my bedroom speakers as well. I just never had the right amp for them. They wanted that 400wpc Levinson I used to have. What about bridged Benchmark AH2Bs?

Just buy LS50W’s and save the hassle.

Today was, unbeknownst to me, disassembly and polish day. I was not liking the heat generated by the amp in the cabinet. The Massive A-G10 made closing the glass door A liability. It also created an angled reflection point, that while not sonically noticeable, was visually annoying. I’m sure it was doing weird things to the sound stage too as I now admittedly have a much better sound stage.

So after pulling the rack and cleaning and dusting everything. I swear the system sounds better for it! While hoisting a 70 Lb integrated amp was so much fun. (Everyone should do it!) It now shows just how beefy the amp is. It’s a beast and has the drive to back it up.

Before, as the heating element for a wooden easy bake oven!

Very pleased. All re-cabled and separated.
