Thorens TD-124 MK 2 + SME 3012 find

Wonder if there are many audiophiles in your country Guille?

I don´t know for certain, but there seems to be a living community: there are a couple of local fora, and people organize get-together events, but I´ve never been to any of those. A technician that I´ve contacted to help me with the Thorens is responsable for one of the local fora ( https://audiovalvular.com.ar/ ).
There are also meetings like this one http://hifihaven.org/index.php?threads/feria-de-audio-argentina.2237/ , the only one I´ve attended. I could estimate a sizable audiophile community. My impresion is that most of them are jazz lovers, and few, perhaps, classical music lovers. On the other hand, there is a huge classical music crowd here, as I notice in any relevant concert (and this has been a tradition since the early 1900, at that time very strong in opera due to the Italian immigration).

Just thought id share a bit more of what i did with mine.

Use a gentle file to refresh the knife edge (think sharpening a carbon steel knife edge with a "steel" - you dont want to remove the edge just make it regular)

Where the knife edge rests, im not sure of the name, polish the 'v' area with a migic eraser to make it smooth. Sharpening the knife edge and polishing this area maybe once or twice a year will help prevent 'chatter' where the arm can jump around a little...

I would convert the 4/5 pin conector to use rca conectors plus an earth post. My 5 pin SME conector was not a tight fit and ocasionaly failed.

I rewired mine with solid silver wire and got a audiosilente collar connector (they also make a few other SME parts) that was safe to solder to, soldering to the sme ones is a tough job and is very likely to ruin it (i managed to ruin two despite being competent with soldering small things, well i thought anyway), better to buy the audiosilente one and then sell the old one to cover most of the cost.
Additionaly, when fixing my fathers bent arm tube of his 3012 after he moved house i found a chap in thailand who made a heavy steel arm to the newer SME alignment, i did all the othee things as avove (except the collar conector; i was lucky!) And i feel that it sounded better than mine. I think the arm and heavy weights were about £300.

Update: the arm is in good shape, but the rubber parts need to be replaced. Same thing with the decoupling mushrooms in the Thorens, as well as a new belt. The motor is not moving as yet and needs to be cleaned and lubricated. Hopefully I won't need any further work on it.
Regarding the replacement parts: I know that Audiosilente in eBay Italy has very good replacement mushrooms, but have no real experience regarding the rest. There are a couple of eBay UK based sellers for the SME rubber replacements. Does anybody here have some specific vendor to recommend? How about belt providers?

PS: I just realized that the SME parts may be available here, as recommended by @airdronian !

The rubber replacements (for eg the rubber grommet on the wire entrance to the arm and the bed plate) are the same size, I THINK are 3mm but could be 4mm or even 5mm - try here (https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/263025515372) there 1/10 the cost of SME ones but exactly the same otherwise. i did have a small bag of SME ones but ive been looking for it for years unsuccessfuly and have used ones from ebay a few times and there certainly better than hardened or cracked originals!
