Today's Classical Music Playlist

I've been on a Respighi kick recently, mostly the big stuff: Roman Trilogy, Church Windows, Ancient Airs & Dances, etc.
 
I've been enjoying this on first listen via Tidal:

This is a freaking amazing album. Tonal and timbral accuracy, huge soundstage and depth. Roon Radio picked it out for me yesterday.

 
FYI - Deutsche Grammophon is coming out with a new reissue series based on the 4 track recordings they did in the 70's. "The Original Source" series. Could be good.

 
Janos Starker was my go to for the Bach Chello Suites for years. His is technically superb, but I'm finding Zuill just has more emotion in his strings.
