Porcupine Tree~Fear Of A Blank Planet

Danny Carey on drums....which is enough to keep my attention....but stylistically these tunes are simply bad ass. It straddles the line between progressive and fusion, with the drumming being more progressive and the melodic stuff frequently courting jazz/rock fusion. This is big speaker music (the implication here being capable of mucho scale and dynamics with effortless clarity). OK, it's cool on little speakers too, but...well, just listen. You'll hear what I mean.

Cool, thanks!! Sounds like the Aristocrats....rock, progressive/jazz fusion. The Aristocrats are Bryan Beller (Steve Vai), Guthrie Govan (Steven Wilson) and Marco Minnemann (Steven Wilson).
