^ We saw Neal Morse on his Testament II Tour in 2012 I think, which he played the whole album along with a bunch of other songs. There was actually a 20min intermission, the album also includes a 25min song which he played. 3.5 hours later the show was over and it was like 11:30PM....He came back out onto the floor set up a table and patiently signed whatever people gave him, even took pics if people wanted....Wife and I got a pic with him, we finally left the venue at 12:45am, he was still signing.

I guess this is progressive rock but I hate labels on tunes. It is certainly dynamic on Altec 604’s with a watt.

I'm not too sure where "psychedelic rock", ends, and "progressive rock" begins, but this is one of my all-time favorite bands from way-back in my youth.

Captain Beyond - Sufficiently Breathless.

Unfortunately, it has a nasty warp that eats up the first couple tracks, so I'm pretty sad about that. :grandpa:

Love this album! One of what is now many treasures I'd overlooked but found on the back of new technology like Internet radio and Tidal.
You both have my curiosity piqued. I'll need to check it out. Like you, Bill, a vision of pop groups like Duran-Duran, etc. flash through my mind.

I have followed King Crimson ever since Court came out when I was in high school. I have a good sized music collection that is pretty deep in prog rock. If you enjoyed the early days of KC, I can recommend this live recording from 2015, which includes some of the original players from Court. The music range spans several decades of the KC catalog, the performance is excellent and it has probably the best sound quality of any rock, much less live recording I have heard. For those that track dynamic range, the average DR is 11.

An under appreciated Yes title, likely because John Anderson and Rick Wakeman were replaced by Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes of The Buggles... a good record nonetheless.
