Unity Audio Cancer Fighter Speaker Cable Reviews

Got these today and will be hooking them up for trial this tomorrow. Looking forward for the time with them.
I have been honored to review the Unity Audio Cancer Fighter Speaker Cable for 2 weeks in my system. It has been a very fun and educational experience. I hope to add a positive contribution to the discourse. But first a quick intro to the system that I reviewed the cables on.
· Pass Labs X-.02 Preamplifier
· DSPeaker Antimode 2.0 Digital Room Correction.
· Krell KSA 250 Amplifier
· Infinity RS II and JBL 240Ti Speakers
· Esoteric P2S Transport and D2S Dac
· Bluesound Vault 2 to Mytek Brooklyn+ Dac
· Sota Saphire and Lounge Audio LCR & Copla with AT 33 PTG II.
· A combination of DH Labs Single ended cables and Zu Audio Mission XLRs between digital Sources and preamp.
· My regular Speaker cable is DH Labs Silversonic T-14s
The appearance of the cable is sturdy. One of the covers on the cables has come loose, but consider that this cable has been shipped across the country and Canada and been in several systems at this point. I am more than satisfied and impressed by this cables construction. While I admit to not being a fan of the color of the cable sleeve, It is well made and very impressive. The Banana plugs are also well made and except for the plastic cover being a bit loose on one which again is simply a reflection of the fact that these cables have been around touring North America.
So how does it sound? The first few tracks played really gave me the impression of what these cables bring to the table. Test Tracks were as follows.
1. Elvis 30#1 on both Vinyl and CD.
2. Led Zeppelin Mothership on Vinyl and Flac
3. Marilyn Monroe – Essential Masters Vinyl
4. Gerry Rafferty – City to City Vinyl
5. Natalie Merchant Tigerlily CD
6. Dave Matthews Band – Come Together Vinyl and CD.
7. Toots and the Maytals – In the Dark on vinyl
8. Calexico – Algiers (Deluxe edition) Tidal MQA
9. Calexico – The Thread that Keeps us ( Deluxe Edition) Tidal MQA
The biggest takeaway confirmed by my session notes where how present the Midrange is with these cables. They really bring the midrange to the front in my system. This is very apparent because it’s usually the crisp highs that are king here. It took me a few days but I began to realize that the highs were being tamed and the mids were allowed to open up. The saxophone intro to Baker Street, for example, was much deeper and less sizzle at the top. I can see this being of benefit to a bright or analytical system. Bass was clear and present and even with the DSPeaker on Bypass, I could tell that the Bass was not restricted by the speaker cables at all.
I had been running my JBLs for about a week and decided to put the Infinities in for a listen. In this configuration, I have to use my Cardas Jumpers as my RSII’s are configured for Bi-amping or Bi-wiring which is my current way of connecting them. Again, the Unity audio speakers allowed the mids to shine and tamed the Highs subtly. It is not that the highs were not present but the difference was noticeable especially after I reconnected the DH Labs cables. It allowed for a much different focus on certain tracks in Algiers by Calexico. I kept wondering what these cables would sound like connected to some Harbeth or Rogers Monitors where the midrange is oh so sweet already. I found myself enjoying the sound and my toe was tapping to the music which is always a good sign. For me, it is a sign of good synergy when both the Data and the emotions are satisfied.
Overall these are very good cables and I feel they would match well with Systems that are either bright or overly analytical. What I cannot say is that they are truly neutral as that was not my experience with them at all. They impart their own flavor and it is quite a good flavor indeed. Kudos to Unity Audio for well-built reasonably priced speaker cables of which the Unity Audio Cancer Fighter Speaker Cable is a fine addition.

Really like reading about the sonic perspective the Cancer Fighters convey on a system that is very different from mine.
Did not even think of it but I should have tried the Cancer Fighter cables with the LS3/5a - SET845 combination. Bet that would have been sweet indeed!

It's a hifi kinda day. Spent the AM doing gardening chores; hopin' to get upstairs shortly.
The cables are up and running here and have been for most of the week... that said, I (still) have them on the Abominable Monoprice hybrid amp, so I really don't have anything too insightful to say about them. I am hell-bent on a one-week* turnaround, so...more to come... soon.

Imagine that?!
I tried swapping to these cables on the latter (from Canare wire) and was underwhelmed.
Much more interesting on the 2A3s. More to come.

made no difference -- this is an ueber-cheap amplifier, though.
