I read a piece describing an audio show a few years back that claimed that the only rooms with systems that sounded good also contained potted plants...
Lots of cool pictures, thanks. I really like the historical stuff, what a great collection. Also I spy my buddy Arnold from Tweak Studio hanging out with that weird magnetic turntable...his store used to be below my apartment in Chicago.
What was the biggest let down?
I've yet to hear a pair of OB speakers I've really liked. Some were ok. Those look like small full-ranger drivers with OB base augmentation. That's a lot of space taken up.There were a few rooms where I didn't even bother to stay much less take pictures. I think the Polks were a letdown. Not that they were terrible sounding. Just that they really didn't do anything to set them apart. For a flagship speaker, I expected more. The OBs were not good at all. Powered by 2 Passlabs Amps to boot. Very disappointing.

I don't know why these folks don't bring some sort of portable room treatment with them. It seems it would be pretty easy to dominate a show just by taking more care in setup.
Thanks for all of this. What were your impressions of the QLNs?And for me personally. The best sound in show. Vinni Rossi integrated with QLN speakers. I will be discussing these speakers in another thread. I am smitten.....
