I learned over the past few decades that I really don't like live albums--there are very few that I can listen to and actually enjoy.
This one is darn near top of the list. Lou Rawls in his earlier days. A live-in-studio performance with invited guests.
I had to go through two copies on vinyl to get a good one. This remaster from 2005 is a little on the bright side but includes both full sides of the album, vs. an earlier CD reissue that fades side one out sooner and clips off the intro from side two (a different set).
The monologues here are priceless (which introduce "Tobacco Road" and "World of Trouble").

The Jimi Hendrix Experience Live In Maui (2020)
Though this is a listening thread, I am just as excited about the documentary and concert footage on the included Blu-ray with this new release. Tragically, Jimi's life would end less than 2 months after this concert was filmed in 16mm color.

Wow I didn't know that existed, no doubt a bootleg. The Blu-ray alone is worth the price of admission in this official release, I watched it last night and it is very well done, really a very interesting story as it relates to the making of the Rainbow Bridge movie, which Jimi had almost nothing to do with despite the producers using his name to promote the film's release.

One of my favourite listens ......I have to admit to having been a semi official ambassador for Clifford and his music over the last 30 plus years or so. There are a few of us who take every opportunity to keep his music alive as best we can in the public eye. Sadly, he has never had the breakthrough he deserves but we keep trying.......
