Since I was a kid, the local PBS station, amongst its Christmas rotation, always included Going My Way. The top grossing film of 1944, it was nominated for 10 Oscar’s, of which it won 7. Those wins included Best picture, Actor, supporting actor, and director. While not a Christmas movie per se, it does include some Christmas scenes, but more importantly, few movies capture the spirit of Christmas so well.
