What Day Is It?

I thought I would start a thread on the ubiquitous National "Whatever" Day to share important information with the HFH crowd. I know, everyday is National Whatever Day, but some of them are truly interesting and important. For example, everybody should have National Joe Day marked on their calendars; March 27. It's a great day to set aside to celebrate all the Joe's in your life. I will periodically be sharing the important days that Pop up (see what I did there?) and I encourage anybody else to add to this important activity, regardless of what nation you live in.

Anyway, just wanted to wish everybody a happy Fibonacci Day 🎉🎆. A truly international day of celebration. November 23 is celebrated as Fibonacci day because when the date is written in the mm/dd format (11/23), the digits in the date form a Fibonacci sequence: 1,1,2,3.

Correct! Like one of my retired friends says, "there are six Saturdays and one Sunday in each week".
speaking of weeks and calendars -- and, implicitly, of modular arithmetic; albeit not of Fibonacci*.

...or, of course, as they say in The Windy City :)

Blame Michigan. The Michigan congressman Gerald Ford observed, “Congress is in no mood to tamper with the calendar.”

Heck, they can't even agree to stop playing with the amount of daylight we get each day; spring forward, fall back. Why?
