Audrey: Presto 15G2 and GE/GE/GE Mono Console
This is my mono console, Audrey. This is the build thread. Some have already seen her, others, maybe not. I'm approaching this thread as an original, so hopefully different insight. I'm going to start with the way that Audrey was built; in the gathering of the bits to build her; after her...hifihaven.org

Nate, Yeah, DIY jobber. Its an L75 turret pivot. I used a pair of tiny precision sealed bearings as the vertical pivot. They are mounted into the arm wand. From there, a few homemade hangers and flanges. The arm is a lamination of 1/8" aluminum plate and a veneer of soapstone. The I sanded it...hifihaven.org

Flinston: Bogen-Presto BP-51_HP-mod on Soapstone
1963 Bogen-Presto B51 Light Platter suitcase. The amplifier was dead, and the speaker torn. This is the start of a long odyssey for this deck. It eventually becomes my daily driver. This is where it started: edited to remove the wretched photofucket images, and post real ones in their place.hifihaven.org

Lenco L75 heavy platter idler drive. Purchase from original owner. It even had a really nice condition smoked plastic dust cover. This one is another that is going to be changed.hifihaven.org
Yes . That’s one of my mono rigs.I love the GE tonearm on the Rek-O-Kut. I have one as well. Is that a 12" arm?
That is a much better start I began with ...my first table was a simple BSR changer in a portable record player...What matters in this hobby though is enjoying the music. It is nice to have good even exotic tables and amps etc , even speakers , but the main thing is to enjoy your music and never to lose sight of that........Enjoy this site too......it is an excellent one and very unique ....unlike some sites people get on here and exchange views without ego or one-up-person-ship......that makes it a very nice site to be a member of.Hi guys. Complete amateur here. But my ATLP120 is absolutely enough for me. I love her dearly and she sounds perfect in my basement. Cheers 🍻
Thanks for your input and kind words. Yes indeed, the music is most important and I agree, this is a great site.
