My local Co$tco is clearing this out, I will have to go back for another bottle. Which reminds me, that I’ll have to make their distillery a stop on my next KY visit!

Thats really good stuff, I wonder why there is a Costco clear out on it? Maybe a surplus situation because Canada is no longer buying it so the distillery decided to dump it on Costco?

Yep, they do that towards the end of a products shelf-life (when it becomes stale and doesn’t sell out regularly).

Saw those today at $30. Insane deal.

It feels like stealing at that rate!

Expedition Stout is delicious. Always pick up (and lay down) a six when I see it here.

Not now, but was in my glass earlier today at the monthly SMAC meet, picked it up at our local purveyor as something interesting to share. I thought it was yummy, a nice balance of sweet and spicy aromas, with a little bite, excellent sipper. (It wasn't "hot" per se, but benefitted from a little ice melt...)

I'm afraid I didn't sample the Evan Williams that was also shared.

“Black Manhattan” with Amaro Nonino instead of sweet Vermouth, Bourbon instead of Rye, and added Angostura Orange with the usual Aromatic bitters and cherry garnish, a tasty variation

It took me a looong time to warm up to this stuff. I feel I can appreciate and even enjoy it, though it's definitely something to be in the mood for.

(Speaking of which, I've opened and gently sniffed the Laphroaig 10-yr bottle a few times in recent memory and just can't get into it. Maybe next time...)

Martel, yes, but cognac no. Martel skipped the 'cognac' designation for this one, though it's obviously a cognac. Apparently so because it's finished in bourbon casks, hence doesn't conform to France's rules regarding what can be called cognac. Stupid yummy for the price.

‘been sipping this stuff lately, caramel and molasses on the nose and spicy on the palate with a looong finish, good!

(I have a type, apparently - I do like a secondary finish and toasted oak is always a winner.)

Have not posted for some time. Made this 'Old Fashion' with my own measurements. A muddled orange peel, 4 drops bitter, 1/4 pack sweetener, a generous slug of Wisers rye and a giant ice cube. YUM, you're looking at glass 2
