I frequently complain...or so I have been told....whoops, that is another story.

I frequently complain about finding a beer that I really enjoy and then never seeing/tasting it again. Went to HopCat in Ann Arbor yesterday and when I saw Ascension Brewings Fo' Twenny Imperial IPA on the menu I immediately ordered one. They told me that this was a beer specifically brewed for Ann Arbor's Hash Bash (April 1) and the 4/20 holiday. But it was so well received that they talked Ascension into brewing more, I hope that is 'much more' as it is over-the-top good.

Staying out of the heat and partaking a local IPA. Pretty tasty.

Last time I was beer shopping in Fla I asked about that Cigar City IPA. The store owner said, "You like IPAs, you try some Bell's Two-Hearted, the best IPA out there."

I was like, "Yea, I am from Michigan, where they sell Two-Hearted at Costco. But how is the Cigar City IPA?"

"I'm not a fan." was his response.

I decided to grab some but noticed that it was many months past its 'best-by' date. Two-Hearted it was.

Egads, Great Lakes Brewing now has a year-round DIPA that is 9.0%, does not taste strong, has a soft mouthfeel, is not bitter, and is reasonably priced.

Oh yea, you can get it in 19.6 OZ cans too! For those special occasions.
