I would have never known Beth Orton was the voice in the Chemical Brothers CD (exit planet dust) that I am currently listening to. I won one of her CDs about 20-25 years ago and listened to it once, if that. Those are the only two times I have ever heard of her. And yes, I like The chemical brothers. Goes to show, you just never know.

In due respect, I just googled her. Seems like Ive been in the dark on her. And I should probably give Central Reservation another listen. Back then I only listened to the dead and jam bands.

Beth Orton is rad. Central Reservation is a good place to start. Lots of fans didn't like Daybreaker, but it's one of my favorites.

She also played the lead singer of Future Pidgeon in Steve Hanft's brilliant, low-budget "Southlander", but that's getting into the weeds a bit.

Out of curiosity, how long does it take you to figure out who the female vocals are on Chemical Brothers “exit planet dust”? :dance;)

Beth Orton was/is very good.
Seeing William Orbit's name put me to mind of this... FWIW.

Think of an interesting version of Enya. ;)
