WTB A few different turntables

Want to Buy
Hi,

I thought I’d put out a feeler for a few turntable models I’m interested in, in case anyone here has one that they’d like to sell. Note that I’m not looking to buy all of them (I wish!), but I have some level of interest in each of them. If you have any others you think might be up my alley, feel free to send me a message if you’d like.

Pioneer PL-70

Micro Seiki DD-40/DD-7/DQ-7/DD-8 (and potentially other variants)

Micro Seiki BL-91 (BL-51, BL-71/77, etc)

Kenwood KP-9010 (1100, 990, 7010, KD-8030)

Technics SL-1200GR

Thanks!
Ben

Just a thought here you look at a Technics SL 1200 GR......it might be worth looking at one or two other Technics DDs . There are a few that are "off the running' but they will give a better "bang per buck" than an SL 1200 . They are not quite a 1200 but they are close.

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestion! It turns out that I have a number of Technics tables at the moment, I was just thinking of upgrading my 1200MK2 to the GR (and getting rid of a few others). You are right though, the GR definitely isn't the best bang for the buck.

Not sure if you saw this. But….

Thanks, I definitely did! It's about 3x more than I'm looking to spend, unfortunately. But I wish you the best of luck selling it 🙂

The best bang for the buck table is the one that stops you from thinking about and buying any more turntables. So in that respect the SL-1200G could be that table, if it's what scratches that itch.

the SL-1200GR would potentially create an itch for the SL-1200G :)

I have a DD-40 and a BL-91. Though I am not ready to trade my BL-91, I would consider moving my pretty DD-40, with genuine MA-505 arm n headshell. The genuine veneer on this heavyweight tt is nice, dust cover stays up and has served me well. I will shoot mackat a pm...

So true. I hit that with the Denon DP-80, not that there aren't other tables around here to play with. I'm just not looking for any new ones.

You totally bought that Empire after you had the Denon :)

Nope, it was in the closet already before the Denon. Well, certainly before the Denon got put together and running. I think... maybe... :chin
I'm mistaking you having it still sitting in the floor in pieces while listening to your Denon months after a mule'd the Empire across the border.. ;)

Must be the pandemic-mind. I've completely lost track of time...
