3C24 new Build

DHL just delivered a VERY heavy box from Belgium. Monolith was a dream to deal with. Bought two S-11 output transformers for a 3C24 build. Nicely packed and skillfully finished. The power transformers from Edcor are still in the works (10-12 weeks they say).
However, I did purchase a power supply for the B+ so I can really fuck things up.

lmao!

Those transformers look fantastic. I'll admit to never having paid attention to this tube... you have my attention now!

Thanks. I’ll definitely follow your build progress. Those opts are beautiful. Please include as many pics as possible to document your journey and to help out people like myself who may follow you and Paul’s lead. A couple of questions :Have you made any changes to the original circuit? What power transformers did you order from Edcor and will you be including meters?
Regards,
David

There are changes to the PS. I'm going to try and run a pair of 866a rectifiers (per channel) mostly for aesthetics.
Paul is helping me with the CMC in the 3C24 filament supply but I am struggling with options. Will update.
Power transformer is EDCOR

Glad to have you along for the ride.

866a rectifiers…I like your style!

Looking for suggestions for the 100uf 450V caps in the B+ power supply of the build. I have a couple of mismatched Jensens but I'd like to find something that didn't cost an arm and a leg to use. I am not using the voltage multiplier with the 220uf caps as it stands now.

The Kemet polypro DC Link caps are reasonably priced. I can't speak to their sonic qualities, but even for generic polypro caps they seem a comparative bargain: Kemet caps on Mouser

Be sure to consider the ripple current the cap experiences and ensure that whatever cap you buy is capable of dealing with this. The Jensens likely don't have any such ratings, so I would disqualify them based on that alone. The new DC link poly caps are a good idea and aren't overly huge.

I'm assuming I can increase the capacitance a bit without harming things?
These are 110uf @ 700V vs the 100uf called for.

Within the audio circuit can I use boutique caps since ripple will be low (I assume)?
