Designing and assembling the ultimate horn based system
I‘m pretty happy with the results of the comparative analysis process. I was able to further fine tune the system to address some observed deficiencies. The system is sounding great and more importantly I’m enjoying it and not just appreciating it’s sound. I declare this phase of development over for now. I will be making some changes to the system but not ready with them at this time so the system will remain as is for now. One of the objectives of this system build was to explore sculpting the overall sound of the system by tweaking the crossovers and I have to say that this mechanism for adjustments has been highly effective. The key is to design multi-way systems with crossovers with adjustability. This system, along with my other reference system, the expanded Wisdom Audio Adrenaline Rush system, will take me the rest of the way, so I will start to re-home some of my collection this year and reduce the footprint of my systems to only my most favorites. As this year begins, I enter a new stage with new focus on enjoyment and experiences, but I’m sure that I will not let go of experimentation, that‘s just who I am. Happy New Year everyone.
