Linn Majik 140 vs Focal Aria 936

Hi Folks!

I got a fair deal on the Linn Majik 140 but I'd have to order them if I'm buying them. I don't know the specs of the speakers and I have googled but can't seem to find any information on these speakers. I would like to know if my amp is suited to drive them?

My amp is a Bladelius Thor mk2 that runs in (8 ohm at 165 W).

Also I got another good deal on the focal's, those I can listen to. They require 8 ohms between 50-300watts so my amp can drive them.

Has anyone compared the two?

Or anyone listened to these speakers? What's your verdict?

Thanks!

I never heard these particular models, but I never was a big fan of Linn house sound. They always sounded boring to me. Focal (JM Lab) on the other hand I always liked, very open and exciting sounding speakers. Also usually Focals are easy to drive. I have Chorus 814V and use them in a secondary system with 20W amp, no issues at all.

I have to agree with the above assessment. I have not been to enchanted by Linn speakers that I have heard. But have owned and enjoyed a fair amount of Focal/JM Labs. Based on that, I would not be inclined to switch. But, this is super subjective and personal.
