Odyssey Kismets in Khartago cases

Having sold my Salk HT2-TLs, I’m now selling the amps that powered them, my Odyssey Kismet/Khartago mono blocks, with Klaus’ upgrades. These are like new with less than 75 hours on them and were used to power the Salks. Great amps with authoritative bass and sweet tube-like mids they combine the warmth and three-dimensionality of tubes with the speed and control of solid state. Operationally and functionally perfect. No blemishes. No noise or hum even with very sensitive speakers. I had to trade my larger man-cave listening for a smaller near field office set-up, thus the sale. I am the first owner. These have been VERY gently used by mature adults in a smoke free, kid free household. They run only slightly warm for a class A/AB amp, no noise or hum even with very sensitive speakers. These are 9 years old and are still under (transferable) warranty. I have the original boxes. Many great reviews online. Delivery within 150 miles of 14620 possible.

Upgrades include:

1. Full power supply and caps upgrade from Khartago to Kismit

2. 240,000 uF (this is double the original 120,000 uF in the standard Khartago)

3. Upgraded Kismit torodial power supply

4. Full SE+ board & cable upgrades

5. Copper chassis

6. 180 watts per channel vs. 110 watts of stock Khartago (actually bench tested at 225 watts per channel as per review on Part Time Audioholic site)

Each box weighs 31 lbs.

Asking $1900 shipped. Buyer pays PayPal fees.

How fortuitous . . I love my HT2s . . . when were the upgrades performed? When does the warranty expire?

I'm contemplating cooler running amps.

TIA

Kraus did the upgrades 9 years ago at the time of purchase. There’s 11 years left on the warranty. There are more photos including nudies on the Audio Circle Trading Post. Klaus could tell you what the next upgrade path would be, if interested.

This is a great deal!!! Monoblock Kismets. Are you kidding me? Build quality on these amplifiers is first rate. Don't let the generic looking cases fool you.

I don't think I will ever get rid of my Odyssey Khartago Stereo Extreme. I have the extreme version with 120,000 uF of capacitance and 130 watts RMS a side and was easily able to drive my Magnapan 1.7i's to very high decibel levels. One of the best values in audio I can think of.
