This is very close to tube amp (no solid state will ever be a tube amp), similar in sound to First Watt SIT-3. Musical and lush.
A lot of folks use this amp to tame a bright system as well.

**NOTE - I've made two big upgrades to this amp.
1. Speaker binding posts have been upgraded to KLE Classic Harmony Binding Posts
2. SR Purple Fuse
3. I added Sparkos Labs discrete opamps (like they've done for E3, but E3 uses Burson)
** The SS3601 Sparkos opamp is a phenomenal upgrade, but they very sensitive to RFI, if you have extremely sensitive speakers you might be able to put your ear to the speaker and hear a faint high pitch tone. With music its undetectable, and in most cases if you don't have stray RFI floating around (wifi, etc) you probably won't even hear it when idle.
** Also including the original AD711 opamps with risers to easy swap back in, out.
