@Thermionics - I would flip them sideways. I built mine narrower (26" ID, 25mm BB) than I had originally designed (WAF fear), while keeping the overall cross section the same in sq. inches. This ended up deeper cabs which in the end was more room intrusive.
The sims all say that more baffle step compensation is needed for a 20" wide baffle than for a 32" wide baffle. Listening shows that a narrower baffle needs a further stand off from the wall to sound better (which is why a lot of modern, narrow speakers sound better out into the room).
