Your essential “non-audio" listening accessories?

What "non-audio" accessory do you believe is essential for your listening room, system, etc.? Lava Lamp? Eames chair? Memorex "blown away" poster? Liquid or herbal sonic acuity enhancement serum? Special glass or coffee mug?

I have many, but the most recent upgrade to the listening room has been the addition of little Persian rug drink coasters:

First lighting. I must be able to have some light, to not sit in complete darkness, while not having it too bright. I even have one fancy LED bulb that simulates a burning flame.

2nd, a comfortable seating position. I'm currently without that after my wife and I made an ill-conceived sofa purchase. That is currently in the process of being remedied. This has affected my listening habits as I hate the current sofa/torture device.

3rd, beverage. Before noon its coffee. From noon-8pm its tea or just water (I actually LOVE ice cold water, my favorite drink). After 8, whiskey or wine.

Also, overall, the room cannot be cluttered as I find I cannot relax in clutter. And I'm very particular about the overall look/feel of the room. If I go to listen at a place and its one of those AK-ish rooms with stacks of speakers and gear up the ceiling, I get really anxious and want to leave.

My iPad. I use it to control streaming sources, and I like to kinda passively listen while I play Words With Friends (Scrabble) or brows the web. If something REALLY grabs my attention when I'm doing that, I know it's special. I almost always listen at night, so usually a Whiskey or other cocktail is required.

I also agree with John about lighting. That is really important. Spot on with that assessment.

I have to also agree with John, i.e.: lighting. Multiple layers at that, too.

I rewired an antique chandelier that's original to the house, and installed in my audio room as a swag fixture using a faux "knob and tube" arrangement. We're really happy the way it came out. I'm using replica hand blown 30W carbon filament "1890" bulbs. They put out about 3 candle power each (j/k -- but not much).

I also have much brighter sources to use when I need to actually see something. ;)

Lighting is the main ingredient and unfortunately I've somewhat lost a nice effect I had with a lamp next to the turntable when I put the much bigger DP-80 plinth in place and went with a hanging unit. I need to get a much lower wattage bulb of some sort in there with a warmer colour temperature and then it should be fine.
