i have a ton of amps right now - 2A3, 300b, naim, claymore, some other solid staters.
The only SE amp I have that mates well with my 15 ohm LS3/5a is the CazTech SET845. My 300B and 2A3 SE amps were not optimal.
Same experience here. Solid state Mcintosh did it for me.

Yes, these are the most beautiful BC1s I’ve seen as well, and I’ve seen several. And they come with the original stands, badges and boxes ... and Derek Hughes did the smartening up!!?!

The 300B, 2A3 and EL84 SE amps certainly made music but did not fill my large-ish listening room and also did not achieve the toe-tapping "boogie factor" on the appropriate music.
All of the above amps drive the Lowthers and the FrankenKlipsch beautifully in the same room.
Just my opinions.
Let me get this right. I already have the BC3s, your old S100s and a ‘newer’ pair of mint SP100s and now you’re tempting me to take the BC1s??

As influencers go, I'd say your a pretty darned good one. And here I am, looking around to see if I still have a pair of System Audio SA-505s.
I’m surprised these haven’t sold. I don’t doubt that these are the best BC1s in existence.
